UWC is committed to ensuring that every student has the opportunity to experience a UWC education regardless of national, socioeconomic, cultural, racial or religious background. UWC achieves this through selection based on potential and merit, but also by providing scholarships — over 80% of IBDP students selected by a UWC national committee receive full or partial financial support. To continue this work, UWC relies on donations from former students, trusts, foundations, companies and governments.There are several ways you can support UWC Albania’s activities. How your contributions help UWC Albania
UWC Albania conducts all events and activities on a strictly volunteer basis. Our work of enabling Albanians to attend UWC is made possible only thanks to your contributions. Your financial contributions will help us to:
- Pay the necessary taxes to maintain UWC Albania as a registered NGO in Albania (approx. EUR 700/year)
- Cover the costs to organize selections each year;
- Cover the costs to organize an orientation weekend for selected students each year;
- Offer “small scholarships” up to EUR 200 to current Albanian students at UWC to conduct impact projects in Albania;
- Cover the costs to send a few Albanians to UWC short courses (costs vary between EUR 200 – 500 per student)
- Besides financial donations, we also welcome other contributions such as donating your space to organize our activities, donating food or drinks during selections, etc.
Donate through the UWC International Office
You can donate to UWC Albania via UWC International.Please indicate that you would like to make your donation to “UWC Albania” by selecting “Albania” using the drop-down menu “Select a UWC national committee”. Funds and the details of your donations will be allocated to UWC Albania.

If you live in the U.S., you can make a tax-deductible donation to UWC Albania via UWC International’s Myriad-USA account. Please indicate that you want your donation allocated to us by checking “Add a note for The United World Colleges (International)” and writing in NC Albania in the ‘private note’ box.
